Broadcast time and streaming time are different

An anime's broadcast time is when an episode is scheduled to air on television in Japan, China, or Korea. Streaming availability is when a service such as Crunchyroll expects to make that episode available to viewers. Those moments can be close together, but they are not interchangeable. Licensing, subtitles, regional distribution, and service operations can create a delay. AnimeSoon labels each card so you can tell whether its time represents a reported Crunchyroll release or the original broadcast.

What the ~ symbol means

A tilde before a time means the streaming time is an estimate rather than a confirmed timestamp. The estimate is based on the available schedule correction, not a promise from the distributor. It is useful for planning, but the episode may arrive earlier or later. Cards without a matched streaming release stay labeled “Japan broadcast” instead of implying that a streaming service has confirmed them.

Your timezone is applied in your browser

Source timestamps are stored as absolute moments. Your browser identifies its current timezone and converts each moment locally, including daylight-saving changes. A release that airs after midnight in Tokyo may therefore appear on the previous calendar day in North America. Changing your device timezone and reloading the page recalculates the schedule; AnimeSoon does not need your precise location or an account to do this.

Regions can still change availability

A listed Crunchyroll time does not guarantee that the title is licensed in every country. Catalogs, languages, and premiere dates vary by region. Use AnimeSoon as a planning tool, then confirm availability with the linked distributor. The English Dub filter includes a show only when its streaming metadata explicitly identifies a dub; it does not infer a dub from the English title.

Corrections and daily refreshes

AniList supplies title, episode, genre, and broadcast metadata. Tsuzuki supplies Crunchyroll schedule corrections used to match streaming releases. AnimeSoon refreshes the stored 30-day window daily, rejects adult and Ecchi entries, and keeps the source distinction visible. Late production changes, recap episodes, and distributor delays can still happen after a refresh, so important plans should be checked against an official announcement.

Using the schedule

Start with Day view for a focused list, move through weeks with the arrow controls, or switch to Month view to scan the full window. Language narrows shows by country of origin or an explicitly listed English dub. Genre narrows the same schedule without creating a separate low-context page. Title display can use English, romaji, or native script. Clearing the filters restores the complete day, and ads are withheld whenever a day or filter combination has no matching episodes.
